Pond liner weighs about .31 lbs per square foot. This means any size liner under 500 square feet can ship by UPS ground and be delivered to your address.

Orders of 500 square feet and over will require shipment by a freight carrier. We will provide the freight company with your telephone number so they may call you to arrange a date to deliver.

What is required: In order for the freight company to deliver there must be someone there to unload and sign for the order. Freight companies are responsible only for delivery of the material- customers are responsible for unloading it.

Often times drivers will help customers unload but their contracts do not make that mandatory.

On liners up to about 1000 square feet the order will arrive on a well padded mini roll. Customers are able to simply roll this 150-300 lb liner right off the back of the truck and to their work site.

On some orders of liners over 1000 square feet a liftgate can be provided for you and the driver will be paid to unload it for you. You will need to request this service from us upon placing your order. The cost per this service would be an additional $95

Free shipping is limited to $150. Orders shipping by freight to many western states may exceed $150.00. Graystone will calculate and contact you with any additional shipping costs before shipping the order. This surcharge is most common on large pond liners, pond kits, and resin or stone fountain kits. At that time, you may provide payment information for any amount over $150.00 or you may opt to have the order canceled. If canceled, the full amount paid will be refunded to the credit card used for the purchase. Alaska, HI, PR, and outlying mainland islands are excluded from free shipping. They are often cost-prohibitive, but if interested please inquire prior to placing an order so we may provide you a shipping quote.

NOTE: There are some size liners that cannot be unloaded by the driver. Larger sizes of liner and some full roll sizes are on 11 foot long cores and cannot turn sideways in the truck to unload by liftgate. In these cases, a forklift (or many strong backs) will be needed for unloading.

It is also possible for any freight order to be held at the local distribution hub for pickup by customers. They will load the liner roll or pallet into the truck provided by the customer at the distribution hub.

Please ask in advance if you have any questions about large liner orders or are unsure if you have the ability to have people or equipment needed to unload the delivery. Unfortunately, orders refused by customers because they cannot unload them will result in both the original shipping cost, as well as the return shipping cost to be deducted from any refund in addition to the 15% restocking fee for returned items. It would be devastating to see 90% of the cost of your purchase lost over the inability to unload the shipment when it arrives.

Please let us know in advance any issues or concerns you may have before ordering.

Thanks so much for your interest and we look forward to assisting you further,

John Olson- Graystone
