The BFS fill switch is a compact, easy to install fill valve that can be used in a variety of applications. Unlike most fill valves which have an arm sticking out that can be easily bumped or broken, this valve has an internal float inside of a plastic body which protects it from damage.

As the red float raises up inside the black float housing the flow will diminish. When the water reaches the fill line the flow will cease.

To install this valve in a skimmer you will need to drill two 5/16" holes in the side of the skimmer above water line.

Remove one of the nuts from each of the two bolts. Do not remove the second nut from each of the bolts, these act as a spacer between the hanger brackets and the inside of the skimmer.

Install the fill valve from the inside of the skimmer with the bolts sticking through the wall of the skimmer. Secure with the two nuts removed earlier.

You will need to drill a hole in the wall of the skimmer for the incoming water line. The fitting on the fill valve is barbed and sized for 1/2" tubing.

Slide the tubing over the fitting and clamp. We recommend an in-line pressure regulator in your incoming line to reduce the line pressure if your fill valve does not shut off completely. Maximum water pressure is 55 PSI, however, at pressure over 40 PSI water may drip from valve when the float is up.
